Orientation Week
Today, I am flying to Chicago to attend the TeachBeyond orientation. It only took me about two hours to pack last night which included several trips to the garage to look in boxes and plastic containers for items that I would need. Thanks to a Sunday afternoon organization spree a few weeks ago with my mom, I was able to find most of the things I needed relatively quickly. However, a few things are in my “possibly going to Hungary” boxes which are at the bottom of the stacks of boxes that I have for my garage sale. I didn’t get to those items. They will have to wait until I begin sorting and pricing for my garage sale. (If you want to donate items or help out please contact me.)
I am excited and nervous about orientation all at the same time. I am excited to meet people I’ve only known virtually for the past six months. I will be meeting at least two of my new co-workers who will be teaching with me. I am nervous because I am not really sure what to expect. What is our schedule? What will I learn? What will be required of me?
I would appreciate your prayers this week as I learn and prepare for this big transition in my life.
