Beyond Orientation

TeachBeyond orientation is over yet the impact it left of me is still lingering.  It's been almost two weeks and I am still processing everything.  So, here's some things I would like to share about orientation.

There were about 60 people there for orientation but many more were there for the leadership summit and board meetings.  It was really nice to finally meet so many people I had been communicating with via phone or e-mail for the past six months.

Also, I was able to meet six of my team members who will be serving with me at International Christian School of Budapest.

We began each morning with a time of worship and devotions.  God met me powerfully through that time.
Each day was long and packed with information and sessions on TeachBeyond, transition, Third Culture Kids (TCKs), Christian education, health insurance, taxes, etc.  Each day was a chance to build connections and relationships with future team members and other TeachBeyond members over meals, sessions and break times.  I left feeling that I was part of a larger family and that I belonged.  Thank you for your prayers during orientation week.
