Quiz answers!
Ok...so about 70 people viewed this post but only 2 were brave enough to answer. They did pretty good at their guesses too! Nice job Kelly & Jessica you both got several of them correct and were very close on others.
Item #1 - It is used in the washing machine but it is not detergent. It is a lime scale remover. We have hard water here so it prevents the build up over time.
Item #2- Baking powder. These packages are quite small. They contain about 1 tablespoon each. You can buy them individually or in packs of three or four. Around Christmas, you may find a round plastic bottle of baking power but not the other times of the year.
Item #3- Baking soda. Again, a smaller package that contains about 1/4 cup.
Item #4 - White wine vinegar. You know the kind used for salad dressings and other things.
Item # 5- Regular vinegar. Pickling is a big thing here in Hungary and Eastern Europe in general. You can buy 8%, 10% and 15% acidity. There may be more that I haven't noticed.
Item #6- Facial tissues -ie: kleenex. Most commonly they come in these plastic bags all folded up. I actually really like them in the bag. They are generally less expensive and thicker tissues. I do buy boxes every one in a while too.

Thanks for viewing! I hope it provided a little window into everyday life here in Hungary.
