33
Recently, I celebrated 33 years of God's gift of life to me. He had lots of birthday presents for me in store throughout the weekend. It was a special time. I definitely felt loved and blessed by Him and so many others.
On Friday evening, I went out to dinner with friends to a Indian & Thai restaurant. It was an evening filled with great conversation, laughter and delicious food. My friend Diana and I ordered the same item on the menu, Penang curry. It's a standard for me to order this at a Thai place. I like it. It's got good flavor without being too spicy. Well, this restaurant uses a different recipe! It was SO spicy. My lips were tingling and burning. It was a good laugh and we had to order extra naan. (Shucks...extra naan, yummy!)
After dinner, we proceeded to the Alexandra bookstore cafe on Andrassy Utca. It was beautiful. We ordered coffees and dessert.
Since my birthday was on a Sunday this year I got to go to worship. It was such a blessing to be washed by the water of God's word and be reminded of his love for me. During the worship time the passage of Ephesians 1: 3-14 was read aloud. It is precious to me and such a gift that it was read on my birthday. Then, one of the elders knew it was my birthday and prayed for me during the time we lift up personal requests from the congregation. That was a surprise to me.
Later, I went out to lunch with some dear friends. We went to a favorite place of mine Dionysus. It's a quality Greek restaurant. I got my fill of Tzatziki. It was delicious and I had leftovers to enjoy for the week.
So thankful to God for giving me all these years of life. I am looking forward to what he has in store for me this next year.
