Friday Funnies

 It's been a long absence for me in the blogging world.  I am hoping to resume with some shorter updates.  My first thought is some "Friday Funnies" focusing on language learning here in the UK.  Yes, there's still language to learn even though it's English!  

Here a few new words or phrases:  

1. "It's Friday and I am just cream-crackered from this week."  -It's a slang term for being exhausted, tired, and worn out. 

2. A winter activity here in there's snow is sledging.  It's going down a hill on a sled or your bottom. 

3. "Don't forget your brolly."  Brolly is slang for an umbrella.  I know own at least 3 and have already had to throw one in the rubbish bin.
