Goodbye Minnesota, Hello Diosd!

Yes, I am in Diosd, Hungary!  I've been here for a week. It's been quite the week adapting to a new culture, language and beginning a new school year all at the same time.  God has been good to me.  He's provided so many people to help me a long the way.  Here are a few pictures from my life in Hungary.

Ready for the airport!

Saying goodbye to my dear friend Kathy!

I made a photo book of memories with my niece to give her.

At my desk in my new classroom.  I just landed a few hours ago.

My new classroom set up and ready to decorate.  I have 18 students.

Pictures of my house
The living room- we have a piano!

My bedroom- hadn't unloaded all my luggage yet!
I 'm still trying to find a place for everything.

One of our bathrooms & the washer and dryer.
Yes, we have a dryer.  It won't be used much as electricity is expensive.

That's all for now!

  1. Hey Amanda,

You look like you belong there. What a relief to get there. Never worked so hard just to volunteer for something, huh? Your house is beautiful! Love the skylight. So good to have seen you before you left. Thank you so much for stopping to see Noah. Love ya tons! The Asproths

  2. Hi Amanda! Our family has been praying for you every day and the kids have some messages to send to you: "Good job teaching!" "Nice house!" "Hopefully you now know where all your supplies are." (We've been praying for you to settle in and be comfortable teaching.) "Are there a lot of bugs in Hungary?" "How many more days will it be hot, hot, hot in Hungary for Miss Ferris?" "How hot is it in Hungary?" "How are your students doing?" "What kind of food do you eat in Hungary and do you like it?"
