Under construction
The street I'm living on this year has been under construction several times since moving here in August. I learned they are installing sewer and water to the houses on my street and several others nearby. Currently, they are on septic.
In the morning, I would wake up to hear the trucks rolling in to begin the days work.
They worked everyday from 7 am to 6 pm or later some days. Sometimes they even worked on Saturdays.

Sometimes I'd walk by men in a hole digging. Sometimes the machines would stop and move so I could pass by. Somedays I had to find other routes back to my house because it was impassible.
It was always an adventure about what I might pass to get to work or anywhere that day.
The work kept moving down the street and past my house. I figured they were finished but they weren't. A few weeks later they were back in the same spot digging and working again. It didn't take as long but they came down the street again little by little. I am finding that my life is a little like the construction work on my ucta (street). God does work in some area of my life and I find victory by his grace. Then He begins to work in another area. But pretty soon, we're back to the same area He started in. The heart decay and sinfulness run deep and need to constantly be worked on.
Thankfully I have a savior, redeemer and friend who loves me enough to do construction, over and over again, so my heart works properly, or at least better in loving him and others.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6 ESV)
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10 ESV)
